The final report involving an extensive research partnership between The Hills Health Ranch and BCIT was completed May 8, 2001.

Underway since January 1st of this year, the purpose of this project was to complete an analysis of the marketing activities of North American destination health resorts.  This project benchmarked strategic marketing activities of competing North American health resorts.

Led by a three-person student team under the guidance of instructor Bob Brett, the team of marketing students contacted, reviewed and analyzed the price structures, web sites, brochures, fulfilment standards and more of the leading destination spas in North America. The results indicated a clear pattern, revealing strengths and weaknesses of the various spas.

“We are committed to engaging in on-going research with major North American colleges, technical schools and charitable organizations,” commented Pat Corbett, President, The Hills Health Ranch.  “The information that this research will provide will assist us tremendously in further enhancing our market penetration.”
