Hilton International has appointed Patrick Fitzgibbon as vice president of development for the Americas, with effect from December 1, 2001.

Previously vice president for international development for Hilton’s in-house and stand-alone health club chain, LivingWell, Patrick was instrumental in launching the brand into the international market place. Successfully establishing a network of eight clubs in Malta, Germany, and Turkey as well as five in Australia, he has much experience to draw upon in his new role.

Commenting on his appointment, Patrick says; “I’m confident of growing the Hilton brand in the Americas. Our impressive growth rates globally have established Hilton as one of the world’s most dynamic hotel brands. I’m extremely excited and eager to start work on what is a very strategic geographical region.”

Originally employed in a number of high-profile management positions with Hilton and previously Stakis, prior to joining LivingWell, this move marks a return to hotel operations for Patrick, who is 33-years old.
