LivingWell, the UK’s leading health club operator, has appointed Arthur McColl to the role of Operations Director, UK.
The main thrust of Arthur`s role will be to help develop, implement and oversee operational issues in the UK. Coupled with a change in internal reporting lines, this will enable LivingWell`s managing director Stuart Broster to concentrate more fully on future company strategy, and developing the brand overseas.
Included in Arthur`s remit will be the responsibility to oversee the sales function within LivingWell, working closely with the marketing director to develop innovative campaigns to boost member and non-member income streams.
Arthur will also be responsible for developing and driving forward The Sensory, the health club operator`s beauty spa product.
37 year old McColl previously held the position of regional director for LivingWell clubs in the North of England.
Stuart Broster comments: “LivingWell is currently in a period of rapid growth and development and we needed to change the internal structure of the company to reflect this change.
“We are investing around £40 million in eight new clubs over the next 18 months and are increasing retail revenue in clubs from both members and non-members with the development of Pro Shop, Caffe Cino and The Sensory. This activity is set to
reinforce LivingWell`s position as the leading health club operator in the UK and Arthur has the experience, ambition and talent to ensure that we achieve this.”
