Senior International Appointment For Hilton`s Health Club Division Livingwell

LivingWell, the UK’s leading health club operator, has appointed Patrick Fitzgibbon to the role of Vice President, International Business Development.

The main focus of Patrick`s role will be the development of LivingWell hotel health clubs outside the UK, working in conjunction with the Hilton area presidents. This development will include the re-branding and extension of existing fitness facilities in international hotels and the design of facilities in new hotel properties.

 

The scope of his role will also include assisting in developing LivingWell Premier clubs outside the UK.

Thirty-two year old Patrick previously held the position of Senior Project Development Manager, responsible for LivingWell`s new build and refurbishment projects in the UK. He also managed the development of LivingWell`s first overseas club, which opened in Malta this spring.

“With 77 clubs and six under construction, LivingWell has built up a strong portfolio in the UK; it is now time for us to focus on the international marketplace.

“Our next focus is Germany where we are on target to open three new clubs by mid 2001. Being part of Hilton Group plc gives us considerable leverage when investigating opportunities overseas and I now look forward to helping developing LivingWell as a truly global brand,” said Patrick.

Andy Potter, Group Development Manager for LivingWell will continue to be responsible for identifying and negotiating new sites for Premier clubs and reviewing potential acquisition prospects both in the UK and internationally.
Gordon Coles, external project manager for the new Sutton Coldfield Premier club will now assume the role of UK Senior Project Development Manager, LivingWell.
