Popular Speaker Back at ISPA 2002

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The International SPA Association announces the return of a favorite keynote speaker to its 12th Annual Conference in Anaheim, Calif.  Dr. Carl A. Hammerschlag, master storyteller and internationally recognized author and healer, will speak at ISPA in October.
“This is the first time ISPA has asked a keynote speaker to come back,” explained ISPA Executive Director Lynne Walker McNees.  “Dr. Hammerschlag was so well-received in 1999, he was a clear choice for ISPA again this year as the spa industry tries to get back to the basics of health and wellness.”
Scheduled to speak on Sunday, Oct. 21, Dr. Hammerschlag is one of the world’s leading proponents of the practical applications of the mind, body and spirit connection.  The author of three critically acclaimed books, Dr. Hammerschlag uses poignancy and humor as he leads his audiences on a healing journey.
Set for Oct. 20 - 23, the ISPA Annual Conference is the “must-attend” event of the year for spa professionals.  In addition to Dr. Hammerschlag, ISPA has secured Peter Greenberg, travel editor for NBC’s “Today” show.  Set to speak on Monday, Oct. 21, Greenberg is considered the nation’s foremost authority on travel and the travel industry.  On Tuesday, Oct. 22, Clyde Fessler will speak on building a brand.  Fessler is the former vice president of business development for Harley-Davidson and is credited with playing an integral role in the company’s dramatic turnaround over the past several years.
