Cunard: Expanded Services, Full-Cruise Programs Target Spa Vacationers

MIAMI, April 15, 2002—-Starting in mid-May, The Yachts of Seabourn will be offering their pampered guests a new level of indulgence with the introduction of The Spa at Seabourn, a newly enhanced menu of treatments and services aboard the recently refurbished all-suite ships. For travelers who frequently vacation at land-based resort spas, the ultra luxury line is providing programmed “Ceremonies,” which are combinations of treatments to be enjoyed throughout the time the guests are on board, similar to what they might experience at a spa ashore. Additionally, guests will be encouraged to participate in various spa and fitness programs by means of promotional discounts, free treatments for frequent customers and inspirational nightly pillow messages in their suites.

“We know that when our guests feel better, they enjoy themselves more,” said Richard Meadows, Seabourn`s senior vice president of sales and marketing. “The Spa At Seabourn and our new Ceremonies will encourage them to take fuller advantage of the professional staff and the variety of services we have on board, to help them feel more relaxed, rejuvenated and to have a more fulfilling experience.”

Among the new spa treatments added to the extensive onboard menu are:

- Elemis Aroma Stone Therapy, utilizing volcanic basalt stones warmed, treated with essential oils and placed on the body`s key energy points

- Frangipani Conditioning Hair and Scalp Ritual using Tahitian floral essence to revive and polish the hair and skin

Each ship`s newly refurbished gymnasium includes the latest state-of-the-art fitness equipment in a sea-view facility.

The Spa at Seabourn presents three Ceremonies for spa enthusiasts who wish to sign up for a balanced package of services to be enjoyed throughout their stay on board. These may be purchased and scheduled at the Spa desk once guests are on board.

The Ceremony of Tranquility is a well-balanced blend of five rituals including massage for muscles, Aroma Stone Therapy for spirit and skin nourishing masks for body and face, all polished off with a professional manicure.

The Ceremony of Exotics renews inner glow from head to toe, utilizing the Aroma Stone Therapy with spicy Oriental scents on the body`s key energy points, a Frangipani Conditioning Hair and Scalp ritual and soothing massage and finishing rituals on the feet.

The Exotic Voyage of Touch includes a Wellbeing Massage combining aromatherapy and Eastern techniques in a series of movements to balance body and mind. Imperfections fade with an LT Oxygen Lifting Facial and suppleness is restored with an hour-long Exotic Hand Ritual.

All spa and beauty services are described in a handsome new menu placed in every Seabourn suite. In addition, spa services may be purchased with onboard credits given as gift certificates by guests` family, friends or travel agent. After guests purchase any four treatments, they receive a complimentary Wellbeing Massage. Motivational pillow cards placed in the guest suite each night offer discounts on selected treatments and suggestions for activities and rituals being offered in the Spa and Gymnasium.

The Spa at Seabourn is another in a continuing series of refinements being introduced aboard the award-winning Yachts of Seabourn. Elements already introduced include complimentary fine wines and spirits throughout every cruise; free mini-massages on deck; complimentary Exclusively Seabourn shoreside experiences on every cruise; Movies Under the Stars on deck; exciting new dinner menus created by renowned chef Charlie Palmer and Seabourn`s Pure Pampering featuring fine wellbeing products and a selection of therapeutic bathing experiences by Molton Brown, London.
