Rogner’s project on the “Sunny Island”, named Dorint Golf del Sur, should be completed by October 2004, construction begins shortly.

The approx. 45.000m? area in San Miguel de Abona, located right on the ocean front in the south of Tenerife is still a volcanic landscape but will shortly be transformed into a green and blossoming resort. The internationally renowned late Austrian architect and artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser who planned the resort, showed us with the thermal spa Bad Blumau his understanding of tourism and wellness.

The plans correspond with Hundertwasser’s concept “buildings for dignified life”. The five star holiday resort Dorint Golf del Sur will be constructed under the guidelines “the right to dream is the last human right”, responsible for the practical execution of this idea is the Joram Harel Management.

“Paradises can only be created with personal effort and in harmony with nature”, Hundertwasser once said . The close vicinity of the elements water (with the waves of the Atlantic), earth (with the black lava beach and the green golf course), air (with the soft island breezes) and fire (with the volcano Pico de Teide) will be combined to create a unique symbiosis with the architectural model planned by the artist shortly before his death.

The resort will feature 365 hotel rooms and suites. The divided conference area with five additional meeting rooms and separate entrance, is designed to accommodate 500 people. Five restaurants, four bars and a spacious terrace are at our guest’s disposal for the enjoyment of culinary delights. Five differently designed pools, a wellness area of 1.500 m?, sauna facilities, a 27-hole golf course, tennis and hiking round up the offer.
