easyJet, the web’s favourite airline, has just reached another important milestone by selling one and a half million seats online.

easyJet started selling seats over the Internet in April 1998. Eighteen months later, in October 1999, the airline had sold one million seats online. Just three months later, half as many seats again have been sold via the Internet, indicating a phenomenal acceleration in the growth of online sales for the airline.
