AirTran Airways has a new look for its Internet site, with an easier-to-use booking engine, located right on the home page of the web site. In addition, the upgraded site features new capabilities designed to enhance customer service.
The site now offers flight information on line and customers will be able to provide AirTran Airways
with profile information that makes booking flights on line easier than ever.
AirTran Airways has also made it easier for travel agents to book flights for their clients. In the Travel Agent section of airtran.com, there is now a new Client Profile section. The updated section makes it easy for travel agents to keep tabs of client travel patterns.
The site features enhanced graphics, more links to AirTran Airways travel partners such as Hertz, and a new site map. The site also includes the recent addition of the “10Best” City Guides, which offer information on local attractions in more than two dozen cities to which AirTran Airways flies.
AirTran Airways` web site has been honoured with numerous awards over the past two years. For example, it received a bronze award for “Best Site to Book a Flight” by eTravelWorld.com, at an industry conference in Orlando. eTravelWorld Awards recognize and promote groundbreaking achievement in the creation, execution and functionality of travel-related Web sites.
AirTran Airways also won a Galaxy Bronze Award for Best Web Site in the “E-Commerce/Consumer” category of the 2000 International Galaxy Awards. Developed by Mercomm, Inc., the awards honor excellence in marketing communications.
