For the fifth consecutive year, Travelocity.com Inc. has been named the “World`s Leading Travel Internet Site” at the 8th Annual World Travel Awards ceremonies.

The World Travel Awards ceremony—held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in conjunction with the Pacific Asia Travel Association`s 50th Annual Conference—celebrated the leaders in categories including the world`s leading airline, in-flight entertainment, destination and credit card, in addition to acknowledgement of industry leaders within the regions across the globe.
The World Travel Awards is the world`s most comprehensive travel awards program with trophies awarded in an all areas of the industry. Voting is solicited from travel agents in more than 200 countries around the world. Regional geographical categories are broken down from the Whole World category into eight smaller areas. The World Travel Awards were set up in 1993 to celebrate excellence in world`s travel and tourism industry. In the years since then, dedicated travel professionals and their clients have come to regard the World Travel Awards as the best endorsement that any travel product could receive.
