Pegasus Solutions and the Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group, LLC have announced that they have signed a technology services agreement that takes advantage of the complete scope of Pegasus` service offerings.
Dallas-based Pegasus Solutions is a leading provider of hotel industry transaction processing solutions and electronic commerce services.
The agreement includes customisation and use of Pegasus` CRS, Internet and GDS distribution, private-label voice reservations services and flexible reservations reporting capabilities for Kimpton Group`s 34 European-style, boutique hotels in the United States and Canada.
In June 2001, Kimpton Group is expected to migrate its properties` inventory and rates to the Pegasus RezView CRS in Phoenix. Pegasus will also connect Kimpton Group`s properties to the Pegasus Electronic Distribution Switch for seamless connectivity to the GDSs such as Sabre and Galileo, providing inside availability for travel agent and Internet online bookings. In addition, Pegasus will “power” the online hotel reservations for Kimpton Group`s branded Web site.
Components of the complete technology agreement also call for Pegasus to handle voice hotel reservations services, including central reservations office (CRO) and call-gating support. In addition, Pegasus will provide Kimpton Group with an expanded data reporting capability using Cognos PowerCubes. These data cubes will allow Kimpton Group to reconfigure its hotel reservations data for various reporting needs and information analysis.
Each of Kimpton Group`s 34 hotels will be able to receive real-time Internet reservations through the branded Web site www.kimptongroup.com, which will be Powered by Pegasus using Pegasus` NetBooker Custom booking engine. Kimpton Group`s properties will be included in Pegasus` Online Distribution Database of more than 40,000 hotels. As a result, Kimpton Group`s 34 properties will be available for bookings on Web sites included in Pegasus` Online Distribution Network, including www.travelweb.com
