2nd Apr 2001

Park Hospitality officials announced today during the companyÁ?s Annual Business Conference that it will officially launch its new website at later this month.
The new site, which is capable of booking on-line reservations for Park properties around the world, leverages Carlson Hospitality Worldwide`s hotel marketing and technology expertise, as well as the superiority of Curtis-C, the company`s award-winning reservation system.
This new website is an important step for Park Hospitality, said Tom Griffiths, vice president of marketing for Park. Á¤As the newest brand of the Carlson Hospitality Worldwide family, weÁ?ve set aggressive goals to become the brand choice in our market segment for owners, guests and employees. The launch of this site is an indication to our ownership and the marketplace that the Park brand is on solid ground and in good hands for the future.
Griffiths went on to say that the site was designed to appeal to a broad spectrum of visitors, from guests and hotel owners, to media and travel agents.
For guests, the site not only features the ability to book Park hotels on-line, it also has a hotel locator that is searchable by city, state or country, as well as a virtual hotel tour highlighted by a colorful photography and descriptions of the many amenities available at the hotels. A Á¤Frequently Asked QuestionsÁ¬ area and an on-line comment card are also included.
Members of the Park Rewards program, the brandÁ?s consumer loyalty program that awards members 10 Gold Points for every dollar spent on room accommodations, can check point totals or obtain redemption information about the merchandise and travel awards. The site also provides a convenient on-line form for new member enrollments.
Franchise development materials are now on-line for hotel owners, including detailed information on the company, how the brand supports its franchise system, contact information for ParkÁ?s franchise development staff, as well as an on-line form for requesting information.
For members of the media, Park has created a virtual newsroom with easy access to an archive of Park Hospitality news releases, executive biographies and company background materials. A listing of new hotels throughout North America is also included.
Lastly, Park has added information about the brandÁ?s involvement in CarlsonÁ?s patented Look To Book?´ incentive program for its travel agent partners. Look To Book members earn points redeemable for merchandise and travel rewards when they book either a Park Plaza or Park Inn property in North America.
