easyJet Internet sales show continuing growth

2nd May 2000

During the week ending 30 April, easyJet sold 68,353 seats online, which accounted for 62.6% of all sales for that period. The proportion of seats sold online continues to rise, as easyJet pursues its strategy of encouraging customers to book via the Internet.

The airline’s new booking policy, which only allows seats booked more than two months in advance of the departure date to be purchased online, is now in place.

As fares generally increase as the departure date gets closer, this means that the cheapest seats are always available on the Internet.
