Travelocity.com and TravelCLICK have entered into a long-term Relationship in which TravelCLICK will provide Travelocity with advertising and value-added promotional messages from local travel, hospitality and destination advertisers around the world.
Under the agreement, geo-targeted promotional messages from TravelCLICK`s local advertisers are shown on Travelocity Web pages when a consumer indicates a desire to travel to a specific market. These geo-targeted promotional messages give Travelocity`s 25 million members access to customised hotel offers and discounts at their destination city. Additionally, the promotional messages offer TravelCLICK`s large client base a new and unprecedented marketing venue.
TravelCLICK has already established a unique Travel Agent Media Network for electronically promoting special offers at the point-of-sale to 98% of the world`s travel agents, who combined book over $250 billion in travel services annually via their computer terminals. To further extend the electronic marketing reach it affords its advertising clients, the company recently began building a parallel Consumer Media Network.
