London Tourist Board Selects Nethotels.Com

The parent company of Tampa-based NetHotels North America, Inc. has been awarded the international contract to handle all online bookings for the London Tourist Board.
Beginning April 1, all hotel and accommodation bookings and requests for the London Tourist Board will be handled by NetHotels London. In the first stage “local experts” at the NetHotels London Call Center will handle all bookings and requests. Communications with clients and hotels will be by email, fax or phone.
Among the deciding factors in the selection of NetHotels was its ability to provide a local presence 24 hours a day, plus the flexibility of its in-house developed ReServer® technology.
Under the agreement, all 1,100 accredited accommodation facilities will be bookable on request through the NetHotels London website (www.london.nethotels.com). The majority of these hotels have been online since the launch of NetHotels UK in 1999.
“The London announcement builds our European momentum and creates opportunities to introduce ourselves to tourists and business partners in North America,” said Fred Corrigan, manager of NetHotels North American operations.
According to Corrigan, many of the thousands of NetHotels European customers have requested U.S. hotel products on www.nethotels.com. NetHotels Florida database contains rates and information on some 2,000 lodging properties statewide. By the end of 2001, the company expects that number to double. System wide, there is information and rates on 18,000 properties in 12 countries.
