SynXis Expands European Presence With Product Launch In Germany, Switzerland And Austria
ITB, Hal 7.1B, stand 8 - SynXis Corporation, a provider of reservation and distribution systems for the hospitality industry, announced today that it will launch SynXis Agent?, the first Internet-based central reservation system available in Europe, this month in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
With its newly released German language version, SynXis will now be able to support the more than 50,000 independent hotels and mid-sized chains in this region.
SynXis Agent? was introduced in the Netherlands, England and Ireland at the end of last year. Recently made available in 7 languages (American English, British English, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, French and German), SynXis technology is now implemented in several German hotels.
“We are excited about our expansion in Europe,” said Jim Kelly, President, CEO and Chairman of SynXis. “We feel that our system is particularly well suited for European independents and small chain hotels who are looking for reliable, cost-effective technology that enables them to reach the global consumer.”
SynXis empowers hotels with an easy-to-use reservation management system that puts the hotel operator in control of inventory. Through a suite of Internet-based applications, SynXis maintains a single, real-time representation of property inventory that is accessible by all booking sources including voice/front desk, GDS, and the Internet. SynXis also helps build hotel revenue by making individual hotel Websites bookable, so consumers can conveniently make hotel reservations online.
Synxis enables hotels to make real-time rate and availability changes from any location with Internet access. The changes are uploaded immediately to all four of the major Global Distribution Systems (GDSs) serving 300,000+ travel agents worldwide.
Properties can adjust rate and availability information to maximize revenue based on precise knowledge of their total inventory. In addition, hotels can implement different rate and availability strategies for each channel. This enables hotels to introduce target marketing programs and track the effectiveness of different channel promotions. Priced on a per transaction basis, not a percentage of revenue, SynXis provides hotels with seamless connectivity to the GDSs at significant cost savings.
