UrbanRide and Xand Announce Strategic Partnership

UrbanRide, the leader in chauffeured ground transportation technology and services, and Xand Corporation, a leading Application Services and Infrastructure provider, today announced a strategic partnership. UrbanRide will leverage Xand’s extensive infrastructure and technical resources to meet the rigorous scalability and security requirements of UrbanRide’s travel distributor customers. Dr. Lee Weinstein, President and CEO of Xand, will also join UrbanRide’s board of directors.
UrbanRide’s platform enables real-time, web-based booking of sedans and limousines via its international network of service providers. Travel distributors can cost-effectively integrate with the UrbanRide platform through an XML-based Application Programming Interface (API), gaining direct access to the $5 billion plus chauffeured ground transportation market.
Xand’s technical resources include a state-of-the-art network infrastructure with multiple, diversely routed fiber-optic links to Verizon and MCI Worldcom. The on-site Data Center maintains multi-level system protections, a fully secured access control system, a redundant Liebert UPS system and electric power provisions, which include dual Caterpillar diesel generators.
“Xand provides us with a flexible, long-term infrastructure solution that enables UrbanRide to focus on its core business. Xand is light-years ahead of its competition,” said Jeremy Milikow, CEO of UrbanRide.
“We are very excited about our partnership with UrbanRide,” said Joe Fuccillo, Senior Vice-President of Xand. “Xand is providing UrbanRide with the technical services, infrastructure and expertise to ensure its position as a leader in the chauffeured ground transportation technology and services industry,” concluded Fuccillo.
