Targeted Lodging Tool Launched

A new lodging-by-location tool has been launched by recommends neighbourhoods and discount hotels for several categories of travellers: airport, family, business, leisure, party, gay or romantic.
The results include detailed descriptions of the hotels and areas, and are determined by the hotel`s proximity to local attractions, the typical needs of the travellers and cost.
According to a December 2000 report by Standard Media International and Forrester L.P., price and location are the two most influential factors when a user books a room online. In fact, the two are nearly equal in importance, with price more influential by 1%.
This new facility is available for Anaheim, Chicago, Dallas, Washington and 46 other U.S. cities. In addition, each city guide includes useful travel information such as weather conditions, public transportation information, in-season costs, suggested day trips and other insider information.
