eBags Partners with BlueTags to Distribute Patented Wireless Travel Solution

BlueTags A/S, a Danish company focused on enabling consumer travel products like luggage, with RFID and Bluetooth?” wireless technologies, named eBags as their exclusive distributor for travel markets within North America and Mexico.
BlueTags new patent pending technology will enable consumers to register their bags online and then electronically sync the bags with their active travel itineraries. If a bag should be lost, positive identification directly to the traveler and their itinerary can be made with a cell-phone or PDA.

BlueTags’ technology will help airlines speed up baggage handling, improve routing, reduce missing baggage, reduce flight delays and increase security.” Steed noted that the devices would enable consumers to set bag “theft alarms” via their cell phone or PDA’s, as well as obtain advanced notification of their baggage arriving at luggage carousels.
