SAS Testing Onboard Net Access

25th Jan 2001

SAS, Scandinavian Airlines, is the latest carrier to announce its intention to conduct onboard Internet access tests.
By teaming up with Telia and Tenzing Communications, SAS hope that passengers will be able to link their laptops with an on-plane server, gaining access to the SAS web site and e-mail facilities. Telia’s HomeRun technology will soon allow travellers to use wireless facilities in SAS Lounges, all lounges to be equipped by the end of this year.
