Alphanet And The Inn On Locust Address The Needs Of The Business Traveler

AlphaNet Hospitality Systems Inc., the leading supplier of business travel solutions to the hospitality industry, announced a new partnership agreement today with the Inn on Locust.
The property chose InnFax®, the IBC-5000 Business Center, as one of their key amenities. InnFax, the multi-function, in-room business center, does much more than send and receive documents. InnFax capabilities include making copies and printing hard-copy from portable PC`s. In addition to the InnFax, AlphaNet also offers the InnPhone Plus, a full line of TeleMatrix?” Marquis series, in-room-guest telephones and The Office, a self-service, unattended business center.
The 24-room boutique hotel, located in the historical center of Philadelphia, will hold their grand opening on January 29, 2001. Converted from a Georgian revival building, the hotel offers in-room amenities that the larger hotels don`t often duplicate. The Inn on Locust prides itself on offering all the latest cutting-edge technology for business travel and designed the rooms to convert into a business office. Inside the guest room, the beds fold into the wall leaving room for an 18-person meeting and everything in the room is controlled by a touch-tone phone, including heating, air conditioning, room lighting, TV, radio and DVD. Other amenities include video and tele-conferencing, laptop plug-ins, and high-speed Internet access. Among this advanced technology is InnFax. “There are still things that you can`t do with email today, unless you carry around a scanner; people who travel with laptops still need fax printing capabilities,” said Marvin Factor, a retired trial lawyer and the owner of the Inn on Locust. “We chose InnFax over an Internet fax service because we realize that there is a need to fax actual paper documents.”
The InnFax machine also offers special features that enhance the business traveler`s stay including: complimentary access and printing of daily news updates, such as US News, US Finance and International Finance and Sports News and a PMS Interface that enables automatic posting of fax charges, folio printing and automatic disabling of the guest`s fax number upon check-out.
“AlphaNet is excited about providing its InnFax service to the Inn on Locust, said John Beasley, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for AlphaNet. “We are proud that our product offers a competitive advantage for a hotel addressing the needs of today`s business traveler.”
