Destination Hotels & Resorts (DH&R), which manages 26 independent, luxury hotels and resorts nationwide, has joined forces with IBM to design and build a newly launched website.
The site was created with three main goals in mind: to recognize DH&R`s most valuable guests, to showcase the breadth and quality of the DH&R portfolio, and to provide one of the easiest Web booking capabilities in the industry. Customer convenience and ease of navigation on the site were key to IBM`s design efforts. As a result, customers can access information on every DH&R property within one click of the home page.
Additionally, the “Click-to-Chat” feature will enable a customer to hold an electronic conversation (via instant messaging) with a reservationist at any participating DH&R property, ask questions and receive instant information on that property. This feature reflects DH&R`s “customer intimacy” initiative through which the company interacts with customers on a personalised level wherever possible to provide service. Currently, only Destination Resorts Hawaii is “live” with three more DH&R properties soon to follow.
