Worldspan, CharterHub Sign Internet Associate Agreement

Worldspan today announced an agreement with CharterHub Inc., a leading online air charter reservation service, that will provide Worldspan travel agents with instant access to CharterHubå‘s real-time Internet reservation system via Worldspan Go!å®.
Using the Worldspan Go! connection to CharterHub, travel agents will be able to obtain quick quotes and book executive air charter flights throughout the United States and Canada.
With the agreement, CharterHub becomes the newest participant in Worldspan on the WebSM, Worldspan’s exclusive new Web-based infrastructure which integrates Internet travel content into the Go! reservations product. Worldspan on the Web bookings are automatically integrated into the primary traveler itinerary with hotel, car and other bookings, providing travel agents with a single transaction record.
“As air travel worldwide continues to grow, travel agents need to be able to offer clients a full range of air options, including air charter services,” commented Jesse Liebman, senior vice president and general manager - Worldwide Travel Supplier Services for Worldspan. “The ability to book air charter services through CharterHub directly from the Go! desktop provides our travel agency partners with another valuable tool to build their business and set themselves apart from competitors.”
“We are very excited to be working with Worldspan,” said Jason Bolduc, Chairman and Chief Technology Officer at CharterHub Inc. “By combining elements such as real-time availability, flight tracking information and accurate price quotes, CharterHub has developed a powerful e-commerce solution for the business traveler. Through our partnership with Worldspan, we can disseminate this superb product to an even greater market.”
CharterHub offers a real-time marketplace for receiving quotes and reserving air charter service at more than 5,000 airports in North America. With access to the CharterHub system via Go!, travel agents will be able to access flight availability, pricing, and reservation and scheduling information, all in a single process.
CharterHub offers a range of innovative programs designed to make booking air charter services easier and more convenient. CharterHub’s Charter Hours Program allows charter customers to purchase a block of flight hours on a particular class of aircraft, thereby reducing their cost per flight hour. In addition, the company’s Charter Dollars Program provides cash rebates to volume users. CharterHub also plans an online tutorial to help educate travel agents and their clients of the benefits of air charter.
