Goireland.com announces strategic partnership with leading UK on-line travel service

Goireland.com
, the Irish travel web site, today announced a major strategic partnership with Expedia.co.uk, a leading UK Internet based travel service.
The agreement marks a significant milestone for goireland.com’s parent company, Travelmad.com, as it makes an aggressive expansion drive into Europe.
The partnership is designed to capitalise on the increasing amount of holiday traffic between the UK and Ireland and the rise in on-line booking among the tourist population.
Ireland is now the third most popular holiday destination among UK tourists, according to British tourism statistics. Also, one third of the British population now has access to the Internet and on-line services.
Goireland.com, a wholly owned subsidiary of Travelmad.com, the Internet travel company based in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, has more than 11,000 accommodation outlets listed on its sites, along with other tourist services.
Alistair Kidd, Chief Executive of Travelmad.com, said: “This partnership represents a hugely significant step in our overall strategy of expanding our service into the wider European market place”.
“More and more Britons are choosing Ireland as a place to come on holidays and through this alliance, we plan to facilitate this trend by providing detailed tourist information for users,” said Mr Kidd.
