A bus carrying British schoolchildren in northern France has crashed killing one person.

The accident took place near Reims, France in the early hours of Sunday 19 February. The coach was returning to the Birmingham area, according to reports.

The UK Foreign Office said it was urgently investigating the incident and has dispatched a consular team to the scene to provide assistance.
