Blue Ribbon selects Travelport as tech partner

Travelport has signed a long-term renewal with Blue Ribbon Business Travel International, a member of the American Express Travel Services Network based in Minnesota. 

Under the terms of the agreement, the business services provider will continue to serve as Blue Ribbon’s primary travel technology partner and provide access to travel content including air, hotel, car rental and cruise lines via its Apollo platform.

Amy Boche and Valerie Crotty, co-presidents, Blue Ribbon commented: “We made our decision to renew our agreement with Travelport for many reasons but chief among these is that Travelport’s designated support team continues to invest considerable time in analyzing our business and consulting with us to ensure they understood our goals and challenges.

“As a result, Travelport delivers the functionality and advanced technology that we need to enable our agents to increase productivity and efficiency.”

Scott Hyden, vice president, sales, Travelport, also welcomed the deal.

He said: “This renewal demonstrates Blue Ribbon’s confidence in Travelport’s innovative technology, extensive content and support infrastructure. 

“We look forward to carrying on our long-standing partnership with Blue Ribbon, providing technology solutions that will help them continue to grow and succeed.”
