Biggest new hotel in London announces opening date

London’s biggest new hotel opening in more than a decade will take place next February.

The £350m Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel will have a soft opening on February 4 with room rates leading in at just £99.

The hotel has 1,021 rooms including 54 suites and penthouses as well as the second-largest ballroom space in London after the Marriott Grosvenor House, accommodating 1,000 people for dinner.

The February opening will offer limited availability while the property finishes works on its spa, swimming pool and gym.

The hotel is the third Park Plaza to open on the South Bank, and by far the biggest.

It also has six restaurants, a business lounge and 31 meeting rooms.
