Bench Events to launch The Summit in June 2017

Industry leaders are preparing to meet at The Summit 2017, an event designed for hospitality and tourism insiders to be held on June 6th at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London.

The event falls at an unprecedented time following Brexit and other industry-wide challenges and issues, and as such is expected to attract a much wider representation of the sector.

The event is a presented by the British Hospitality Association, Global Restaurant Investment Forum, Serviced Apartment Summit, Hotel Distribution Event, AviaDev and the Airport Operators Association.

Ufi Ibrahim, chief executive, BHA said: “The Summit is the leading platform for business leaders to exchange lessons learned and to explore opportunities for collaboration with government for the advancement of our industry and the economy.”

The renowned yearly conference will provide specialist high level summits applying industry focus on the restaurant, aviation, distribution, technology and serviced apartment sectors with the hospitality framework.

The Airport Operators Association will be bringing the conversation of travel and tourism to The Summit.

AOA chairman Ed Anderson added: “With nearly three-quarters of visitors to the UK travelling by air, aviation is a vital part of the UK tourism industry.

“The Summit provides an opportunity to work together to improve the UK’s international connectivity and to better link airports with their surrounding tourism destinations, enabling the whole industry to grow.”
