11th Jul 2011

Los Angeles – already one of the most famous cities in the world – has a new reason for notoriety today, with the Beckhams confirming the birth of their first daughter at the Cedars Sinai hospital.

Footballing superstar David Beckham and his pop-singer-cum-fashion-designer wife Victoria confirmed the birth of Harper Seven Beckham earlier today.

The couple already have three sons, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, five, all of whom are said to be “delighted to have a sister”.

On his Facebook page, David Beckham said: “I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham.”

The pair married in 1999.
