Beckhams eye golf course

18th Apr 2011

David and Victoria Beckham are rumoured to be eyeing a golf course in Hertfordshire, England, to convert into their dream home.

The celebrity super couple have been searching for properties in and around the village of Wheathampstead because they felt their Sawbridgeworth home – dubbed Beckingham Palace – was no longer private enough.

According to the Herts Advertiser, the footballing superstar David and his wife, Victoria Beckham, are keen on the Lamerwood Golf Course in the idyllic village near St Albans.

Last year the council granted permission for the club house to be converted into a home and the land turned back into agricultural/green space use.

The Beckhams are expected to be relocating to England when David’s contract with LA Galaxy expires at the end of the year.

It is also believed that David and Victoria have shown an interest in sending their three boys – Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz – to Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys School near Radlett which Matt Lucas, Sacha Baron Cohen and David Baddiel all attended.
