Baxter Hoare acquires DERTOUR trade fair division

BAXTER HOARE Travel Limited has announced the acquisition of the trade fair division of DERTOUR UK, further expanding the respected travel company that has seen Holborn Travel and Pressplan Travel incorporated into the company in the past two years.  The deal will see several of the DERTOUR Trade Fair personnel retained by Baxter Hoare and relocating into Baxter Hoare’s London Bridge offices.

Baxter Hoare already has an impressive trade fair client portfolio with more than 50 events around the world.  The 2013 trade fairs range from Arab Health, the world’s largest healthcare exhibition and medical congress in the Middle East, to K2013, the leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry being held in Dusseldorf, and Anuga, the world’s leading food fair for retail trade and the food service and catering market being held in Cologne.

Commenting on the latest acquisition Adam White, managing director, Baxter Hoare Travel said: “Following the withdrawal of DERTOUR from the UK in December there was a fantastic opportunity for Baxter Hoare to take on the business of our main competitor in the area of travel management for trade fairs.  The increased volume of business means we will be able to offer even better rates, more booking options and a wider choice of accommodation. Our services cover both the UK and international events and we arrange the travel, accommodation and hospitality for event organizers, exhibitors and delegates from all over the world.”

Baxter Hoare was founded in 1883 and is believed to be the second oldest travel agency in the UK.
