Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru has reopened its doors after renovations to improve each villa experience; introducing an outdoor pool and jet pool along with a day bed in the private garden of each villa and enhancing the interiors, garden, yoga pavilion and decking area.

Each villa interior has been refurbished with a lighter colour scheme and marble bathrooms and the popular four poster bed is still a focal point in the centre of the room with views down to the beach and sea beyond.

Guests can walk through an exterior doorway into their own secluded private garden with two pools made from natural stone.  A day bed with protective shade for afternoon sunbathingsits next to the pools and a high bamboo fence covered in foliage and flowers enhances privacy.  A winding pathway leads down to the beach to a private open yoga pavilion for intimate dinners, relaxation or yoga. 

The Banyan Tree Spa Vabbinfaru offers an extensive range of time-honoured Banyan Tree Spa signature treatments. It features five spacious outdoor spa pavilions, two massage beds and open-air showers. Three of the pavilions house exotic copper bathtubs handcrafted in Sri Lanka and private Rainmist Rooms especially equipped with rain shower and steam mist facilities.

The signature spa treatment, Royal Vabbinfaru, has long been lauded as one of Banyan Tree’s best signature packages, combining a deep tissue massage with a series of intricately designed strokes using knuckles, elbows and palms to relief tired muscles and joints.  This is followed by a Red Rice Scrub and a rich Avocado Conditioner, which deeply nourishes the skin. The package costs USD280 per guests (approx £175), and USD 500 per couple (approx £315).

For the first time at Banyan Tree Spa Vabbinfaru, couples will uncover the secrets behind the Banyan Tree Spa’s award-winning art of touch. Skilful therapists will offer a 30-minute private Elementary Couple Massage Lesson on the techniques and steps of massage.
