Avis Preferred Select & Go reaches milestone

Avis Car Rental is celebrating more than 300,000 vehicle exchange/upgrade transactions for Avis Preferred® Select & Go, the Company’s vehicle selection service. Launched in June 2012 and now available at top airport locations in North America, Avis Preferred Select & Go empowers frequent renters to select the vehicle that best fits their needs without ever visiting the rental counter.

“Avis Preferred members are typically frequent business travelers who appreciate having control over their travel experience and saving time whenever possible,” said Kristen Maloney, vice president, strategic customer leadership, Avis Budget Group. “Select & Go helps them do just that. We’re pleased to celebrate this milestone, and we look forward to serving the car rental needs of Avis Preferred members in the future.”

With Select & Go, Avis Preferred members can (1) keep and drive away in their pre-assigned rental vehicle; (2) exchange their car, at no additional charge, by selecting another one from the designated area; or (3) upgrade their vehicle for an additional charge by choosing a specialty car or SUV from the designated area. Then, customers simply drive their selected vehicle to the exit gate, present a valid driver’s license to the Avis representative and the rental check-out process is completed.

Avis Preferred Select & Go supports the Company’s strategic focus on “putting the customer first.” The service is available at top airport locations in North America, including Albuquerque, Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Charlotte, Chicago (Midway and O’Hare), Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas (DFW and Love Field), Denver, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Hartford, Houston (Bush Intercontinental and Hobby), Indianapolis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Maui, Memphis, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, Newark, New Orleans, New York (JFK and LaGuardia), Oakland, Orlando, Phoenix, Portland, Raleigh-Durham, Seattle, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, St. Louis, Washington D.C.
