Avis celebrates 20th anniversary of Lithuania licensee

Avis Car Rental is celebrating its 20th anniversary in the Republic of Lithuania. Established to meet the car rental needs of residents and international travelers, Avis Lithuania continues to be a trusted brand for both sets of customers and has operations at nine locations across the country, including airports as well as Lithuania’s major cities of Druskininkai, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Palanga, Siauliai and Vilnius.

In celebration of two decades of car rental operations, Avis Lithuania has made a charitable donation to Bėdų Turgus (“Buy my Trouble”), a fund established in 2001 to help individuals in poverty, facing illness or who are homeless. The 20th anniversary initiatives also included a digital marketing campaign, decorated rental locations and special activities for employees.

“Avis has been a cornerstone of the Lithuanian car rental market providing a stellar customer experience for renters at each of its stations,” said Larry De Shon, president, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Avis Budget Group. “We appreciate Avis Lithuania’s long-term commitment to service excellence and driving profitable growth and wish them continued success.”

Avis provides renters in Lithuania with a wide range of well-maintained, late-model vehicles from well-known brands, including Toyota, Volkswagen and Skoda. Travelers can choose from car classes that range from economy to minivans and SUVs for short and long-term rentals, and can enjoy Avis’ world-class service, including Avis Preferred, the Company’s express rental service, premium chauffeur service, Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation devices, vehicle damage coverage and personal property protection packages, and vehicle leasing services.

“Lithuania is famous for its natural beauty and old-world charm and some of the best places are away from city centers,” said Daiva Žemaitė, general manager, Avis Lithuania. “We encourage travelers to explore our natural parks, such as Aukštaitija National Park, Lithuania’s oldest national park. Travelers will also enjoy the ride to visit Curonian Spit, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a beach town famous for its sand dunes and cormorants, truly a natural wonder. No matter what you choose for your adventure, Avis is here to serve your car rental needs.”

Avis Lithuania is an independently-owned and operated licensee of Avis Car Rental. Licensees such as Avis Lithuania have the right to operate under the Avis brand in specified territories and in accordance with Avis’ strict brand standards.
