Astrid Bray appointed general manager of Grosvenor House apartments

Jumeirah Group, the global luxury hospitality company and a member of Dubai Holding, has appointed Astrid Bray to the role of general manager for the Grosvenor House Apartments by Jumeirah Living, in London.

An experienced professional in the hospitality sector, Astrid brings strong leadership and commercial skills to her new role.

A British national, she originally joined Jumeirah Group in 2005 as director of business development for Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel in London.

In 2010 she became a consultant working with such clients as The Doyle Collection and One & Only; she then joined Chancery Court Hotel in London as director of sales & marketing special projects before returning to Jumeirah in 2012.

Prior to joining Jumeirah, Astrid worked in managerial and commercial positions for a wide range of hospitality companies including Conrad, Chelsea Village Hotel, Merlin Hospitality Systems, Pegasus and Copthorne.

Centrally located in one of the most exclusive areas of London, on Park Lane in the heart of Mayfair, directly opposite Hyde Park, Grosvenor House Apartments by Jumeirah Living opened in March 2012.

The property’s 133 suites range from studios through to four- and five-bedroom penthouses, providing the largest all-suite luxury accommodation in London in a prime and exclusive area.

Apartments may be reserved for either short or long stays and are priced accordingly.

Simon Venison, pre-opening general manager of the property, will work with Astrid during a two-week handover period to ensure a smooth transition process.
