Arabian Adventures expands with new operations center

Arabian Adventures, Dubai’s leading destination management company, has opened a brand new, state-of-the-art operations center at Dubai Investment Park. The new facility, the biggest of its kind in the region, is designed to support Arabian Adventures’ rapidly growing business, and is set to service business requirements for the next 20 years.

Arabian Adventures, which is part of the Emirates Group, offers destination management services in the UAE, Oman, Qatar and Yemen to the world’s foremost tour operators, incentive houses, meeting organizers, local corporate businesses and cruise line operators. Its wide range of services include assistance upon arrival, transfers, tours and safaris, special interest activities and exclusive highly-personalized services with tailor-made options according to individual needs.

Occupying close to six acres, Arabian Adventures’ new premises provide easy access to the Northern Emirates, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The largest and most modern operations center of its kind in the region, it will allow better integration of the company’s safari and general transportation operations and is able to accommodate a five-fold growth in Arabian Adventures’ fleet of vehicles, including coaches, medium-sized buses, mini buses, private cars, four-wheel-drives and luggage trolleys.

Frederic Bardin, senior vice president, Arabian Adventures said, “We have grown significantly over the past few years. The new operations center will allow us to consolidate our existing facilities into one purpose-built location, creating significant efficiencies in our operations and enabling future growth opportunities. We are predicting an annual increase in business of 10-15 percent.”

According to research from the World Travel and Tourism Council, annual travel and tourism revenues in the region will increase by 89 per cent over the next 10 years and will be worth an estimated USD $279 billion by 2016. The travel and tourism industry in Dubai, which already accounts for 21 per cent of the emirate’s GDP, expects continued growth and Arabian Adventures plans to capitalize upon this.

The center’s proximity to Emirates airline’s dedicated Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport provides easy access for Emirates passengers from any of the airline’s four U.S. gateways – New York (JFK), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO).

The new facilities include two buildings totaling 3,500 square meters of built-up area and housing a massive warehouse; spacious office area; staff briefing, training and meeting rooms; a five-storey car park for 400 cars; inspection bays; and vehicle washing areas.  It will also provide ancillary staff amenities such as male and female prayer rooms, a cafeteria as well as showers and rest rooms for drivers.
