Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority launches advertising campaign

Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority have launched an advertising campaign, in conjunction with 19 hotels and 19 tour operators, to promote ease of access and affordability to the twin-island destination. The campaign runs over two of the biggest sporting events of the year for the island - the end of West Indies vs. England cricket Test and the inaugural Antigua Sailing Week from 25 April – 01 May.

With a flight time of just over 7.5 hours and a £889 price tag, access to Antigua is not that dissimilar to Egypt or Dubai and can be cheaper than some European destinations in the summer.

Jean-Marc Flambert, Vice-President Sales and Marketing UK & Europe, says “We started with 10 tour operator partners and now this has doubled. Some are partnering on the landing page for the online element, and some on press adverts. Tour operators involved in the online element are also promoting to their database of customers, so the campaign has grown and will now exceed the 11m targeted impressions and jump to 14m at least.”

“We are really excited about this promotion and thankful to our hotels and the tour operators who have put so much effort and money into promoting Antigua and Barbuda.”

“We will start planning other promotions for later in the year as we were not able to work with all key partners this time around.”
