Angsana Balaclava announces new experiences

Hailed as one of the hottest Indian Ocean openings of last year, Angsana Balaclava continues to innovate its offering, giving guests the opportunity to experience the enigmatic Mauritian culture both in resort and around the island. Passionate about rejuvenation and wellness, this intimate hideaway is a picturesque luxury retreat from which to discover the magic of Mauritius.

New to Angsana Balaclava is Epicurean Delight, a culinary journey which offers guests a luxurious and sensual experience of Balaclava’s exotic culinary art drawing on indigenous Mauritian influences. Starting with a presentation from the resort’s Executive chef, guests will discuss their personal preferences before heading to the local market in Port Louis where they will peruse, sample and immerse themselves in the aromatic ingredients, tastes and flavours. Following a detour via a local vegetable garden to pick some fresh veggies, guests will enjoy a local canapé and cocktail refreshment before changing into their chef whites to cook their tri-dosha inspired meal.

Spa lovers seeking total seclusion can immerse themselves in the serene Ayurvedic hydrotherapy spa which has just introduced a selection of new signature packages. Amongst these are the indulgent Angsana Divine and Coco Delight experiences. The Angsana Divine features the signature Angsana massage to relieve aching muscles while the aromatic ylang ylang body polish gently exfoliates followed by a revitalising facial. Coco Delight is a tropical favourite which begins with a nourishing coconut body polish followed by a soothing body and face massage.

The newly launched Honeymoon Escapade package is ideal for newlyweds wanting an elegant and classic romantic retreat. Suites will be transformed with intimate lighting, music and a basket abundant with exotic fruits along with a bottle of wine to start the honeymoon experience in style. The deep stone bath is surrounded by the warm glow of candles inviting couples to enjoy a relaxing bath with sunset views. Once settled in, guests will be whisked to an open thatched sala on the shore of the sandy lagoon pool for a romantic private dinner for two.

Conscious to remain true to its environment and sensitive to its surrounding culture, Ansgana Balaclava’s unique offering goes from strength to strength.
