Anderson to take charge at American Express Global Business Travel

American Express Global Business Travel today announced Doug Anderson joins the company as chief executive, effective immediately.

Anderson was replaced as president of Carlson Wagonlit Travel earlier this year by Travelport veteran Kurt Ekert.

With more than 30 years of global management experience, he takes the helm of GBT to accelerate the organisation’s strong growth trajectory.

Spun from American Express just over two years ago, GBT has sought to leverag a customer-centric approach while making new investments in technology, insights, and product.
