American Airlines adds Las Vegas-Los Angeles flight

American Airlines today adds a fifth flight to its existing Las Vegas-Los Angeles service. Boeing 737-800 and MD-80 aircraft will serve the route. The flights to and from Los Angeles will be timed for an easy connection to American’s new Los Angeles-Shanghai service which also starts today.

“Las Vegas is a world-class destination,” said Cathy Berg, Regional Vice President – Passenger Sales. “Now, with the new LA-Shanghai service, more of the world is invited to visit Las Vegas. At the same time Las Vegas residents have an extra opportunity to use the American’s Los Angeles cornerstone gateway and all the easy connections to global destinations available through American and our oneworld® Alliance partners.”

The new Shanghai service departs Los Angeles at 3:10 p.m. each day. It is part of a major expansion of the Los Angeles cornerstone hub that will see more than 30 flights added today to 15 communities for a total of over 150 daily flights.
