Amadeus, a global leader in technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry, today announced the launch of Fare World. This product brings consolidator content directly into the Selling Platform, giving travel agents the ability to find consolidator, low-cost and published air fares through one search.
Fare World is being released in the UK with content from launch consolidators JTA, Emerald, Thriftway, Air Travel Guide and Trayvale Travel. Agreements have been made with additional consolidators which will be announced shortly, and Amadeus is also developing a standalone, web-based Fare World tool for non-GDS users.
Elaine Seeto, Director of Marketing, Amadeus UK & Ireland, commented: “Our product development team is completely focused on empowering travel agents so that they can give their customers the best service possible. Fare World will bring several different sources of fares into one place, helping travel agents to quickly and easily find the best offers available. This means that they will be able to spend more time with their customers, safe in the knowledge that they are giving them a great deal.“
“As Fare World gains momentum, it will become an increasingly valuable tool for travel agents, and an increasingly lucrative distribution channel for consolidators,” Seeto continued.
According to Wayne Darrock, Managing Director, JTA: “Fare World is a valuable new marketing tool for consolidator content, and we’re pleased to be one of the launch partners. The product will really take our fares out to a much broader range of consumers.”
The product is undergoing a phased rollout to Amadeus Customers in December.
