Amadeus Ireland builds market presence

Amadeus, a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, today announced further significant customer wins; owned by Topflight and Donabate Holidays, plus four renewals with travel agencies Navan Travel, Travel Focus, East Cork Travel, and Kanes Travel, cementing Amadeus’ position in the Irish travel market.

Irish stalwart, Navan Travel, has extended its long-standing relationship with Amadeus by re-signing its contract for Amadeus Selling Platform and local services. Impressed by Amadeus’ service offering including local account management, it wanted to continue to meet customer demand with best-in-class technology.

New travel agency, Donabate Holidays has selected Amadeus to take advantage of Amadeus Cruise, a proven way to efficiently cater to growing customer demand for what some have dubbed ‘recession-proof’ cruise holidays.

According to Volker Lorenz, General Manager of Amadeus Ireland: “Irish travel agents are looking for reliable and user-friendly travel technology that is backed by local training, account management and support. Our recent spate of client wins and renewals demonstrate that the agency community is firmly in favour of Amadeus’ IT focus and customer partnership approach.

“We are continuing to build on our presence in Ireland by developing existing relationships, but also through new wins, demonstrating our understanding of the changing needs of travel agencies in the region.”
