Alaska Airlines and Emirates to offer double miles

Alaska Airlines and Emirates are teaming up to help customers explore the world, with double miles anywhere across the Emirates network, as well as special fares on U.S. routes to Dubai and onward.

“With our 14 partner airlines and more than 700 destinations worldwide, Alaska Airlines’ Mileage Plan is a truly global program,” said Joe Sprague, Alaska Airlines’ vice president of marketing. “By offering double miles on Emirates, we’re helping our customers reach their next adventures faster.”

New and current Mileage Plan members are eligible for double miles on all Emirates routes from April 21 through Nov. 30, 2014. Emirates is also offering a 10 percent discount on first and business class tickets, and a 5 percent discount on economy class tickets from U.S. cities to Dubai and onward, when purchased at www.emirates.com/AS using the promotion code USALK14.

Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members enjoy generous availability on award redemptions, one-way travel awards and no minimum spend requirement to reach elite status.

Mileage Plan also rewards members with elite status faster than any other frequent-flier program. Elite-level status is earned for as little as 20,000 miles a year for travel on Alaska Airlines only. Elite-level status begins at 25,000 miles for customers who wish to combine travel on multiple airlines.
