Alamo Rent a Car opens branch at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa

Alamo Rent A Car, the largest car rental provider to international customers visiting North America, today announced the recent opening of a branch serving customers at the new Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa at Ko Olina on the island of Oahu.

“Alamo Rent A Car is pleased to have the opportunity to provide low rates and quick, convenient service to Disney’s Aulani Resort customers,” said Paul Kopel, vice president and general manager for Alamo Rent A Car in Hawaii.  “And for the first time, Alamo is offering electric vehicles at a branch location, offering this new vehicle technology to travelers on their Hawaiian vacation getaways.”

Disney has installed numerous electric vehicle charging ports and green parking stalls at Aulani, specifically designed for charging multiple EVs.  Along with two electric vehicles, the Alamo branch at Aulani is equipped with a full range of vehicles including convertibles and SUVs.

Alamo is the official rental car provider for Walt Disney Travel Company, Inc., one of the country’s largest tour operators, specializing in Disney vacation packages to Southern California and Central Florida.  Alamo is the only car rental company with a rental branch office on-site at Walt Disney World Resort at the Disney Car Care Center, and on-site at Disneyland Resort at Downtown Disney.

Alamo is a recognized technology innovator, with the industry’s first and only online check-in system since 2005, as well as more than 171 self-service kiosks at 63 U.S. locations, which earned it the “Extra Mile Award” from Budget Travel magazine in 2007.  Alamo customers in the U.S. are able to conveniently choose their own vehicles, based upon their advance reservation and requested car class, and then simply drive away from the airport.
