Airport announces daily nonstop service to Chicago on United Airlines

Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport (PNS) announced that United Airlines will commence daily nonstop service to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD) on November 4, 2010. Tickets went on sale Saturday, April 17, 2010 and the daily United Express flight operated by Express Jet will be on 50-seat, Embraer ERJ-145 jet.

“Weekend service to Chicago began February 13, 2010 and our goal was to support expanded daily service. The weekend service was a success and it soon became a priority to allow for more efficient business travel and connections to major domestic and international commercial centers. United’s expanded service will re-establish daily connectivity and access to one of the country’s most significant transportation hub and Pensacola’s airport adds to the strength and significance of the Gulf Coast market,” said Pensacola Mayor Mike Wiggins.
