Airbnb welcomes guests to once-in-a-lifetime Château Chenanceau stay

Airbnb, the world’s leading community-driven hospitality company, has announced one of France’s most popular and beautiful châteaux, Chenonceau, is now listed on Airbnb; for a once in a lifetime, one night stay.

The lucky guests will get the chance to live like kings and queens behind the turrets of this Loire château, the most visited privately owned château in France.

This will be the first time in the château’s history that members of the public are able to stay within its walls after visiting hours.

In addition to this magical night at the Chancellery, located in front of the Château, the lucky guests will be served a royal dinner and breakfast.

With more than 800,000 listings, Airbnb already opens the doors of unique places all around the world: 80,000 villas, 2,800 tree houses, 500 lighthouses, even private islands!

Through this unique partnership with Chenonceau, Airbnb is going one step further – unlocking exclusive access to a previously out of bounds location.

“Airbnb meets a growing demand for a new way of travelling”, explained Airbnb’s Holly Clarke.

“Travellers are not just looking for a place to sleep anymore, they are seeking a real travel experience that is unique and personal.

“We are able to provide this thanks to the unique nature of our listings and to our community’s wonderful hospitality.”
