This partnership was signed on Monday 11 July in Marseille in the presence of Pierre-Henri Gourgeon, CEO of Air France, Jacques Pfister, President of the Marseille Provence 2013 Association and Jean-François Chougnet, the Association’s Managing Director.
“All year long, Marseille and the entire Provence region, which is already a major tourist destination in Europe, will offer a host of cultural events. As an exemplary economic player in the French provinces, Air France is proud to contribute to making this event a joint success”, stated Pierre-Henri Gourgeon, Air France CEO.
Marseille Provence 2013 is very proud to welcome Air France as “Official Air Transport Carrier”.
“Air France is a key partner in the success of the European Capital of Culture event. One of the challenges of Marseille Provence 2013 is to significantly and permanently increase tourism in this region. I believe having a partner who is determined to promote international access to Marseille and the Provence region is quite symbolic of the collective dynamism surrounding 2013”, highlighted Jacques Pfister, President of Marseille Provence 2013.
