Air Europa has commenced long-haul services to Bolivia as it further expands its network into Latin America.
The twice-weekly flights to Santa Cruz depart from Gatwick via Madrid, connecting UK travellers to naturally diverse Bolivia, home to colourful indigenous communities and to breath-taking landscapes of the salt flats Salar de Uyuni and Lake Titicaca.
Colin Stewart, UK general manager of Air Europa said: “We are delighted that this new route is now underway. Bolivia had not been sufficiently connected to the European traveller and now Air Europa offers the perfect gateway to this exciting, upcoming and highly dynamic region.”
Flights from Madrid to Santa Cruz will use the new Airbus 330-200, while passengers on the Gatwick to Madrid connection will be flown in the Boeing 737, which replaced the Embraer 195 earlier this year, increasing capacity by some 120 seats a day.
