Agoda launches Japan Sale

Agoda.com has announced a special 5-day Japan Sale for hotels in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto.

For five days only, agoda.com is offering up to a 66 percent discount on some of the most popular hotels in Japan. From December 21 and December 25, customers can book a super-low rate in select hotels across Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto.

These special rates – most valid until the end of April 2012 – can be used straight away for an impromptu last-minute New Year’s break or later on for holidays at Chinese New Year or during sakura season when the cherry blossoms bloom.

Seasoned travelers to Japan might like to check out some of the new attractions cropping up around Tokyo. Recently opened in Kawasaki is the Fujiko F Fujio Museum, where visitors can indulge their obsession for all things Doraemon. Opening next year is the Tokyo Sky Tree, which, at 634 meters, will be one of the tallest towers in the world.

Travelers headed to Osaka have the Toka Ebisu festival to look forward to. Held every year at Imamiya-jinja Shrine, visitors can save by securing a low rate now for this January festival. Kyoto also has some great events lined up. In March, the Higashiyama Hanatoro lantern walk illuminates a path through shrines, parks, and laneways. Also in March, is Kyoto’s annual marathon. Drawing 15,000 competitors, this event will mark a peak travel time in the former imperial capital.
