The centre, lying at the heart of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi’s Welcome Pavilion, was opened by ADTA’s Khaled Al Hashemi, administration division director, Saeed Al Dhaheri, tourism information services manager, as well as Ferrari World Abu Dhabi’s Claus Frimand, general manager, and Andy Keeling, park manager.

“Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is one of the cornerstone developments of Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s new leisure destination. Our new, strategically-placed information centre will capitalise on the park’s thousands of daily visitors and provide them with informed material that will significantly enhance the entire experience of visiting the emirate,” said Al Hashemi.

The Ferrari World Abu Dhabi visitor centre - open from 12:00 – 22:00 on Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and 12:00 – 00:00 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays - is ADTA’s sixth manned booth around the emirate, adding to existing centres at Maqta Bridge, Abu Dhabi International Airport, Emirates Palace, Mina Zayed Port and Al Jahili Fort in Al Ain.

Designed to educate visitors about the emirate’s extensive tourism offerings, each permanent centre has a visitor information reception and features a range of activities reflecting Abu Dhabi’s culture and sea-faring heritage. A section is also devoted to forthcoming ADTA events, such as December’s Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge,
January’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship and February’s Gourmet Abu Dhabi.

Three temporary centres at Yas Marina Circuit, which will stage the Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday, November 14th, will also be open during the emirate’s Formula One weekend: one at the main grandstand, one in centre of the circuit and a third at the south entrance.

“Our studies indicate that ease of access to destination information is of paramount importance to visitors on event-specific trips, such as those coming the watch the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix,” said Saeed Al Dhaheri, tourism information services manager, ADTA.

“With so many visitors making the trip to Yas Island, the race weekend is the perfect environment to increase awareness of every aspect of Abu Dhabi’s multi-faceted tourism proposition.”

As well as official guides to Abu Dhabi and 31 different leaflets for flagship attractions, such as the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, cultural postcards and maps of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain are available at the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi booth.
